EPS 2022 is an exclusive, invitation-only gathering with no major distractions and a focus on what really matters: a place for the community of newspaper production directors and procurement professionals to come together to learn from peers, exchange ideas, and have valuable face-to-face meetings with key suppliers.

Keynotes from Axel Springer and Funke

The event will feature two keynote speakers:

Dr. Bertram Stausberg, CEO of Axel Springer Print Management GmbH, will talk about how print and circulation strategies of Axel Springer have developed over the years.

Gundula Ullah, Chief Sustainability and Procurement Officer of Funke Medien, will talk about the challenges of sustainable procurement.

 Executive Meetings and Round Tables

The centrepiece of the European Printers Summit includes round table discussions on vital topics such as new print strategies, how to be lean and profitable, retrofit for press and mailroom, newsprint demand and capacity, sustainable printing operations, new technologies and managing the carbon footprint for print and distribution. Some of these round table discussions will be in German.

The round tables will be complemented by prearranged executive meetings with the industry’s key suppliers. These structured meetings will help optimise the time spent by delegates. The participating technology partners include Agfa, DCOS, Fujifilm, Kodak, Krause, Koening & Bauer, Manroland Goss, MWM, Nela, Palm, Perlen Papers, QI Press EAE, and Techniweb.

Print Innovation Awards

The event in Frankfurt will also celebrate print innovations from around the world as we recognise the annual Print Innovation Awards, which honour print-focused innovations in advertising and products and sustainability in print production.
