The previous World Press Trends report depicted a news industry confident about its future, with the great majority of surveyed executives being optimistic about their businesses’ prospects.

But how have the new and ongoing challenges – the war in Ukraine, the unfolding cost-of-living crisis, and the long-term impact of Covid – affected that mood? How are news publishers preparing to navigate this difficult landscape? What impact has it had on their investment priorities?

The new World Press Trends survey investigates these issues, featuring questions around the revenue streams driving publishers’ strategies, what cost allocations look like, as well as financial and strategic forecasts.

It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The data is collected anonymously, and survey findings will only be reported in the aggregate.

The survey is aimed at top executives: CEOs, Publishers, Managing Directors, Executive Editors, Commercial Directors, Heads of Strategy…
